About the Role: The Tableau Sr Developer role is an important position within the IDC Analytics team, involving the support and enhancement of Salesforce implementations for diverse clients across industries.
Location: Hyderabad. This role requires an on-site presence, with no hybrid or remote work option.
Experience: 3-6 Years (with Minimum 3 Years of Relevant Experience)
Your Contribution: As the Sr Developer, you will:
● Design and develop Tableau dashboards and reports for complex data visualization and actionable insights.
● Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
● Perform data transformations and preparation using Tableau Prep Builder or similar tools.
● Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance and usability.
● Conduct quality assurance testing for the accuracy of visualizations and data outputs.
● Provide expertise on Tableau development and data manipulation best practices.
● Stay updated on Tableau and data analytics trends for continuous improvement.
● Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have:
● Experience in Tableau development and data visualization.
● Proficiency in data transformations using Tableau Prep Builder or similar tools.
● Expertise in SQL for data manipulation.
● Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
● Familiarity with advanced Tableau features (e.g., calculated fields, parameters).
● Experience with advanced Tableau techniques such as LOD (Level of Detail) expressions, blending, and dashboard actions.
● Ability to optimize Tableau performance through efficient data querying and visualization techniques.
● Ability to develop custom Tableau solutions using JavaScript API or Tableau Extensions.
● Ability to create dynamic and interactive dashboards using advanced Tableau functionality.
● Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex Tableau issues.
● Ability to work with large datasets and optimize data connections for performance.
● Ability to design and implement Tableau security features for data access control.
● Ability to collaborate with data engineers to design and implement Tableau data architecture solutions.
● Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance on Tableau best practices and emerging technologies.
Good to have:
● Knowledge of the Salesforce Ecosystem is an add-on
● Exposure to CRM Analytics is a plus
● ETL Tool hands-on experience is a plus
● Knowledge of JavaScripting & Visual Studio is an add-on
